Mondo to Celebrate New Cohen Brothers' Film with a Drop this Friday
Tomorrow, February 5th, Mondo will release two new prints to coincide with the release of the Cohen Brothers' new film, Hail Caesar. Both prints turned out great, despite going in two totally different directions.
Francesco Francavilla decided to celebrate the incredible cast of the film, by including most of the main characters in a collage that is shaped by Caesar's costume. Like many of Francavilla's prints, he also managed to make it feel like an old time film poster, which is perfect for a film set in the golden age of Hollywood.
BLT communications, on the other hand, didn't utilize any likeness from the all-star cast, and instead chose to depict two of the main characters, played by George Clooney and Josh Brolin, in a style traditional to ancient Rome. It's a great take on the material and worked out perfectly. Similar to Francavilla, the print also feels of the period.
Drop Details: Both prints go on sale this Friday, February 5th, at a random time on Mondo's website. The Francavilla is an edition of 275, measures 24x36 and costs $55. The BLT Communications piece is an edition of 125, measures 18x24 and costs $45.
